Under the Expatriation Act you cease to be a U.S. citizen when you take an oath to a foreign state such as is California.
You might TRY to explain just why Alaska and Hawaii were shown as states in the IRS code prior to entrance into the union. After statehood these states were no longer listed as states. Why is that, Codee?
