An author wrote quite an interesting treatise on masturbation. Its something I read a few years back. His take was it really depends on what goes on in your head and from what what he wrote would lead one to consider the scenario in one's head: 1) over someone elses wife; or 2) about your own wife; or 3) about a one-night stand with a prostitute you saw on the corner; or 4) about your ideal imagined wife for life or something. Now, I'm not aiming to say him to be wrong or write. And I would not say a legalistic approach to be an answer. Indeed, it doenst hurt to discuss these things. And its "funny" how a young girl struggling with sexual temptation might not get heard among so-called believers but he moment she gets pregnant she might have quite a time trying to get those same people to shut up! The irony?
Different might find themselves in different situations. For example, until one has been separated from a wife/husband, or had a wife/husband die after years of marraige and find oneself dealing with tempation and surrounded by legalistic uncaring so-called "believers" and top that off with on the edge of a society that gives no thought or concern to sexual purity--well until then one might not realize what its like to deal with such temptations as might aim to beset.
