That adl article is compleatly flawed from its foundation and is a juxtaposing of a few "bad apple" elements (and their hateful/rash activities), with people who truly embody and constitute what was created to protect this inherent sovereignty in the first place. It's a good thing that people are not apples, or a few would spoil the bunch...

Origins: Çirca 1970; fully developed by early 1980s

The American People's claim and defence of their inherent individual sovereignty was started with the Declaration of Independance... when it was declared [to the King of England]: "... all [people] are created equal ...", it didn't start in 1970, it started in the mid 1700's.

This inherent sovereignt is later recognized by the supreme court in various cases and in the constitution[s] themselves.

The statement that a human is the "king/queen of their castle" is not an idle statement. It is simply a declaration of ancient divine right.

Like any non-groups/non-orginizations of like minded people, we find that they are not all like minded in every single point. Religions are a very good example of this... how many different prespectives have we heard regarding the various religions from people who claim to be of the same religion? Seems there are millions of variations of Judisim, Christianity, Hinduisim, etc...

These movements that the author tried to encompass with the oxymoronic title "sovereign citizen"... are what they are, and were what they were, yet I don't subscribe to them, nor am I a racist or an anti-semit or a party to groups advocating war or anyother activities that violate human rights.

Quote:
The "sovereign citizen" movement is a loosely organized collection of groups and individuals who have adopted a right-wing anarchist ideology originating in the theories of a group called the Posse Comitatus in the 1970s.

This is not what I am or am a part of. I am a divine being created in the Image and Likeness of God, who recognizes that all People are my equal and this is not theory originating in the Posse Comitatus... it is Truth that is older than any Nation State in existance on Earth. One would think that the ADL people would recognize the principles rooted in Genisis - guess like all religions, there are People who claim to be Jewish who are not.

Its adherents believe that virtually all existing government in the United States is illegitimate and they seek to "restore" an idealized, minimalist government that never actually existed.

Not only does it exist, but it allows for the existance of sub-cultures (Nation States) to form in the state of Nature... so long as said nation states are in harmony with divine Law and the laws of Nature.

To this end, sovereign citizens wage war against the government and other forms of authority using "paper terrorism" harassment and intimidation tactics, and occasionally resorting to violence.

While a few sovereigns have undoutably formaly declared War on the United States, this is not the trend.

Why would the co-owners of the many municipal corporations and the soverigns of the several Republic states destroy their tools? This is silly.

Granted, most people I know are usualy pretty pissed off that they have been being mislead, by people like the ADL article author, amoung other sources including the public schools... yet we recognize that the problem is the people, and the enemy is ignorance - not fictional 'states' and 'persons'.

The idea that it is a crime for People to protect themsleves aginst a deprevation/alienation of rights under color of law by ignorant people acting in persona of policy enforcers and other non-constitutinal originization's agents and those of non-priginization[s].... is what criminals say, as they "wage war" against the People and other forms of authority using "paper terrorism", harassment, intimidation tactics, propaganda, extortion, and ultimatly violent activities including abduction, torture, and murder.

Republic of Texas. The original “Republic of Texas,” formed in late 1995, soon split into several competing factions, which later re-unified in 2002. Daniel Miller, the leader of one of the factions, is the “President” of this sovereign citizen group, which pretends that Texas is an independent country.
Guess the author never saw the commericals that Texas ran on all the tv stations for years... the slogan of which was:

"Welcome to Texas... it's a whole other country."
