While I can understand the despair that many may feel at the sad state of affairs that greet us today, mainly, whatever I, or you, (the people) do, still matters. No matter the odds that we may perceive, conscience dictates that we must decide

To those who don't feel the desire to act upon conscience, then the government has made, or will make, every decision for this sort. For this sort, also, there's no need to take any other action, or thought, just sit back and enjoy the murderous ride.

This is mostly true. However, while we no longer have a Constitutional Republic, or Constitutional Democracy for that matter, we still seem to have an Opinion Poll Democracy. If the people won't go fight in Iraq, will Bush suit up and go it alone? If he does, how much harm would he cause?

Indeed look at what has happened due to the position they have taken (I am not expressing an opinion at this time). Look at how much attention they have garnered, both positive, and otherwise. Have our opinions attracted such attention?
