What if you quit to claim some land to a 'trusting friend' and now he won't give it back as verbally promised? Can a Land Patent filed after the fact put a cloud on the land so he won't be able to get a loan on it? He paid nothing for the land. He was to help me out with a loan. It didn't work. Now he won't give it back. I can file my land patent onThurdsday. Am I going to be protected from this stupid mistake?
Didn't mean to post twice or change direction of conversation but where does it all fit together after a land patent is on it? If I pay the taxes under the Land Patent - is it really mine?
