In San Jose, California the postal clerk and the Post Master at an office refused to round-date stamp my papers. They would only stamp a letter to be mailed or a Certified Mail receipt. They told me that it seemed like I was trying to use there services in place of a notary.
A friend of mine said to use one of their local postal mailing service stores as they were much more friendlier and cooperative.
