It behooves one to consider that any trace you make creates a trail disclosing to any third party with access to the servers
who is inquiring about whom. I sometimes get intelligence offered by people who have access and have even had people squabbling ask me for the inside scoop on their debate adversary. Usually my answer goes something like,
Is it worth me leaving a path back to me? - That I was inquiring about So-and-So; especially when So-and-So is such a jerk as to create enemies? Supposing somebody down the block beats up So-and-So? Anybody looking might find that I got hold of So-and-So's address on XX/XX/XX three days before the assault...
