When requesting certified verification of your strawman's debt report (aka credit report) there are a couple of key items to remember.
1. always reference this US Code to put them on notice that you serious about the verification:

2. do not do a dispute form.Â* Simply put, how can you dispute a debt if it is not a verified, bonifide, truthful, legitimate debt?Â* They will send you dispute forms or recommend you dispute the debt so that they may conduct an investigation.Â* this is putting the cart before the horse.Â*
If you dispute the debt, just by the mere fact that you are arguing about it, gives it legitimacy.Â* I had Trans Union try to get me to dispute the alleged debts that I wanted verified...I responded to them appropriately:
How can I dispute an invalid entry when I do not know if it is valid from the beginning?Â* thus, bringing us back to the original request, according to title 15, chpt 41, blah, blah--- verify the debts.
