"I used to believe when I pledged my alleigence to the flag that America stands for liberty and justice for all."
"Finally the weight of the evidence crumbled that foundation into a shifting dust."
It still does, there just happens to be enough people with enough power working to change that.
Because certain people work against it doesn't mean
that America ceases to stand for liberty and justice for all. What percentage of the colonist was it that rebelled against the King? It wasn't nearly a majority.
"And it's the same type of accumulated evidence that now leads me to believe that if I rely upon faith then I will at some point in time find myself in a state of non-existence."
Once bitten twice shy?
"But, that's me. If you feel that faith will lead you to the promised land I have no more objection with that proposition than I have an objection to a cows faith as it munches green grass contentedly under the tender care of his loving master."
I don't feel anything of the sort but I do believe beyond a shadow of a doubt.
First I chose to believe, then the Father seeing my faith gave me confirmation. This cause me to believe even more and then the Father showed me even more.
I now have an unwavering faith and the cycle continues.
By faith, the Father will confirm so that you will not have to "think" you are going to the promised land or "feel" you are going to the promised land but you will KNOW.
The promised land is an inheritance and his confirmations produce in you just a hint of what is to come.
