I am glad that calmness vs. confrontation and the presence of opposing force
with superior "bargaining power" in total "adhesion" is noticed.

I had to negate their strong point - the unchecked power

Yes, I proceeded in "yin" mode at that encounter,

(+ 100 and - 100 are better than
200 - all in their favor.)

When I saw the title to the thread I began to look forward to reading about "some success" knowing that Sharing Lights has been posting here quite a while.
Having over 6000 posts on a site that aims to promote, "Know The Self, Be Thy Master, it was very disappointing to read that Sharing Lights tendered a government issued driver's license and consented to a search.


You noted that so well -

That is one of the keys not to proceed by

where your ability to "win" the confrontation is
flexible - not rigid formula,
which may or may not apply.


That flexibility to discern quickly and adopt to
the changing circumstances under pressure
is a crucial skill.
