I have read on these forums that "Without Prejudice" as your signature on the license has had an effect.
It was said that after the officer walked back to his car with the license to call it in, he then walked back and threw the license through the window, said, "Have a nice day.", got back in his car and left.
I believe the thread is titled, "Without Prejudice Works".
