Grand Jury

When I used to live in Georgia I was called to serve on the grand jury for 3 months. Even if they were to pass it as law (doubtful as their senate pro-tiem counsel would certainly advise against it) a person would have to have the case heard before the grand jury before the charge could proceed to court for trial. When I served on the grand jury we threw out all sorts of things that we didn't believe were constitutional and / or the evidence just wasn't compelling enough to allow it to proceed past us.

Serving on the grand jury was a serious learning experiance.. and fun.
