In television you have televi-sion.. or Televi-SION.. as in the Zion of the Bible. In radio you have Ra-Dio.. as in "Ra" the Egyptian Sun god and Dio as one of the greek goddesses. It may seem trite or coincidental, but Alan Watt breaks it down in ways that make you think twice about it, if nothing else.. LOL
Holly-wood, I understand, is supposed to be just that: the wood of the Holly tree.. when the Magicians of old would cast spells that caused dreams, they would use the wood of the Holly tree in their magic wands.. and so even today, Holly-wood is used to cast spells and cause people to dream.. :-)

Following up on my own post, I looked in the Alan Watt book again, and I (still) didn't parse Televsion correctly above.
He has it as:
te-LEVI-SION
So "Levi" as in the Tribe of Levi
And "Sion" as in the Biblical Zion/Sion
Something to think about..
