Like 9-11 (the New Pearl Harbor), 1993 WTC Bombing (FBI operation; apparently not enough death to be effective), Tonkin Bay (Vietnam), Pearl Harbor (WWII), the sinking of the Lucitaina (WWI), the sinking of the Main (Sp./Am. War), etc. this is yet another example of the Hegelian Principle (George Frederick Wilhelm Hegel (1770-1831)), based upon (creating) a problem, reaction, solution.

Quote:
Naturally the common people don't want war... But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament or a communist dictatorship. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country." --Herman Goering (on of Hitler's to Top men), During the Nuremberg Trials

"Let those who have ears, listen".
