My understanding is that ....
A land patent is a muniment and works in law.
A deed is a color of title and works in equity.
The land patent is absolute owernship.
The deed of trust is equitable ownership.
This all has to do with rights (property) and the subject matter of property.
Any and all rebuttals (or affirmations) are welcome to my statements above.
I just got an idea. The process and information on land patents may be contained in Am. Jur. or Corpus Juris Civilis.
