It will prove near impossible to " keep the account open and usable without interruption" unless one uses FRN's as one's method of payment. AFV, BOE, CPN, and any other remedy will almost certainly lead to an interruption of the use of the account. They banks don't want to let the cat out of the bag more than it already is.



Perhaps in the ultra rare cases where a bank sends letter saying something like "thank you for your payment" after having received a instrument for discharge, would one have a better chance of being able to continue to use the account.
