First things first, in my last post I didn't intend to use the word "peruse" but pursue. Any way one of the points that needs to be made to the City Council is what is their job description? To clean the streets, pick up the garbage, water, police, fire and that’s about it. To think that they want us to get their permission to change a window or door in our own homes is ridiculous, or to get their permission to contract with someone to do it?


The preliminary object of our group is to get an ordinance passed to counter the ordinance that they just passed. This is what we have to do, if they won’t do it themselves, is get 3 city citizens to put forward a counter ordinance and get a % of the number of people who voted in the last election to sign a petition and the council has to put it on the ballet for a city wide vote. Talk around town is the citizens are on our side and this will send a clear message to the council to butt out and mind their own business and take out the trash.
