What gives courts their authority? What stops you from starting your own?

From where do the courts we face get their authority, and how is this different from an ordinary company stealing from our paychecks, creating a massive publicity scheme, and creating enforcement officers for stealing money from the citizenry?

What makes a court official? Do you have to get certified or something by the state/republic, or can any group of people just start up a common law court system, and hold trials for crimes, complete with punishment for wrongdoers?

What I'm really getting at is, what is necessary to create a common law court, as has been done in a few other states? I've heard something about just needing 30 or so sovereign Citizens to start up a common law court, and getting the militia to support them. How easy or how difficult is this and what hoops do we have to jump through? We should have at least 30 sovereign Citizens organized here in southeast Michigan before too long, and I intend to do everything in my power to ensure this tyranny we face is stopped. I think a common law court would be a big step along the way.
