I was cited for driving on suspended license, DWLS 2nd. The car I was driving belonged to a friend. I live in Michigan. The P.O. took the plate and according to SOS, it's still on "plate hold", his birthday is 1-10 and the SOS said the case had to be adjudicated first. The problem is, he wasn't driving the car, he wasn't convicted of anything. Is there any letter or any recourse for him to not end up driving on a car that this city has taken over? Can I send a fax to SOS on his behalf stating that this particular is his private property and has no connection to any actual crime and that he is being uduly punished for something he didn't do!!! The SOS also said that he could sell this car to someone as long as they are not a relative. Imagine that. Any ideas???
