I sent out a CPN to a bank here in California. The amount was small, but I requested that, "If you do not accept this (CPN) for discharge, send it back to me, and I will tender payment in another way".


The bank keep the the CPN, paid off the account and then closed it!


I am going to the bank tomorrow to see what's up...
