From what I've gathered, the belief here is that your lenses are not flexing enough to focus properly. The exercises are suppose to make your lenses more flexible and improve focus.

My problem seems to be that my eyeballs are too long (myopic). My lenses can only flex so far. I doubt exercising them, as they suggest here, would help but you never know. I haven't talked to anyone who is naturally nearsited and tried it.

I would be inclined to believe that this would work for people who's eyesight is getting worse as it is possible that their lenses might be getting more rigid with age.
