My son is working at a company and they are putting up signs all over the plant that they are going to mandatory direct deposit of paychecks. The company is supposed to have representatives from different banks there sometime in the next few weeks to sign up those that don't have bank accounts! Can they do that? A lot of employees are real upset about it, as would I be. It seems like that it is going to come down to the fact that the only way you can work is to have a checking account. then the governent can get into it anytime that they want to or anybody else that says that you owe them a bill! I know from past experience that it isn't hard for anyone to get into your checking account.
