What I have seen is that most of the time the "agreements" or contracts will have some clause saying something like:

"We reserve the right to change/add/modify the rules or the terms of the contract/agreement whenever we want and for whatever reason and we do not have to notify the signing party ..."

Or something to that effect, so they are always covered and can do whatever they want whenever they want.

It is very similar to the unilateral agreements of the credit cards aplications, they can put whatever crap they want and change it whenever they want, as long as you need the service, the job, to rent a place, to drive, etc. you will have to sign and accept whatever conditions they have or change/add at a later date.

I know that perhaps if you sign with A.R.R. or something similar to that it may work for you but if they do not like that you put that in your signature sometimes they may reject the whole thing and you are back to square one, needing the service, the job, to rent a place or whatever and eventually you will have to accept the conditions or find another way to get what you need.
