About 6 months ago I saw some head honcho for VISA on tv talking bout their plans to have everything electronic using their visa card. All pay "checks" would just be electronically credited to your card and then you use it to pay for everything. And their goal is to go global with these plans.
I guess the National ID will have the visa logo on it. That way they really control everything and everyone. I imagine then if you get stopped for a traffic violation they will automatically check you r ID and charge the account the fine. If you want to not pay for something and they don't like it they can just electronically block your account, or dip into it at will don't you think?
