my mom:& "that's the price of democracy.& if it keeps terrorists [from terrorizing]..."& "we should just play by the rules..." etc.


my reply:& you can't stop terrorism.& period.& and, i AM playing by the rules - but first i have to figure out which rules i am SUPPOSED to be playing by!
