I'm looking into the Free Energy subject and will buy plans and build a few of these when I'm back on me feet financially (
CORRECTION: I should say; "when I have forgiven the debts of my STRAWMAN", no?). Meanwhile, if anyone wants to pursue this subject, have at it.

Check out the Ambient Power Module as a potential replacement for the batteries in bogeymans system above. If it actually works you can skip the Solar Cell/Wind turbine and just use the APM and inverter and voila, FREE ENERGY forever?!!
The little itsy bitsy problem is that they produce only 9 Watts at 36 Volts, so you'd need about 1,000 of these to power an average size house at any given time, maybe more.
The Patterson type cell (Cold Fusion cell) produces steam and hydrogen to power a turbine or heat your hot water.
If you live on a private lake, the Temperature Wheel may be a nice decorative high torque power supply.
More to come

PS. I have no idea of the life time on these suckers, there's no moving parts, I think so it should be fairly long.

Here is the additional information you requested regarding our Ambient Power
Module. I hope it helps to answer your questions.
Ambient Power Module
Invented by Joe Tate U.S. Patent # 4,628,299, the circuit converts RF (radio
frequency) energy to usable electric power. This design has been used to power
clocks, radios, and smoke detectors indefinitely. The device can provide 36 volts
at 9 watts. This device does away with the need for batteries by extracting
energy from surrounding radio waves.
The unit also acts as a passive detector of large metal objects, and it gives
early warning of seismic activity by the rise and fall of it's energy levels.
The power produced seems to improve near bridges, ships and anything containing a
great deal of metal. A high antenna wire seems to improve output although a 7-ft
whip antenna does provide an output also.
By constructing multiple units and connecting their outputs together, you could
produce enough energy to power a household. This configuration would require the
use of multiple antennas to provide input to the circuits.
Remember that our plans (which are included with the assembled Power Module)
contain a lot more detailed information about this item.
