Re:eliminate student loan
Jerseee,
okay, the old trial & error thing continues.
I mistakenly thought that the CRA's, only, were asked to verify. So I didn't send any inquiries or CPN's, etc... to the CC company, only validation requests to the CRA's.
Funny thing is that today I received a letter from a CC asking me to please call them
as they had been trying to reach me by phone and by mail (which I know that they hadn't).
Seems that they want to talk to me about bringing my account current. Perhaps one or more of the CRA's has been in touch with them making inquiries?
Anyway, this letter seemed very strange, as I have not been late with a payment to them yet, although I have been carrying about a $7K balance.
My inclination is that I should not 'call' them, rather drop them a note asking them to be more specific about what they want.
Would this be a good time to ask them directly for verification?
If yes, should I also tender an offer with a CPN at this time?
Don't have CTC1-2-or 3, so where do I get a template of a CPN, anyway?
Gratitude again to you. At least a bit of the confusion regarding 'this' process is beginning to fade to clear.
