Interesting in that criminal law is mostly heard at common law even though codified.
Since the offenses involve distinct violations and damages, the word "person" seems alot less elastic
Check Out FL statute 817.568* Criminal use of personal identification information.
Excerpt:
d)**"Individual" means a single human being and does not mean a firm, association of individuals, corporation, partnership, joint venture, sole proprietorship, or any other entity.
(e)**"Person" means a "person" as defined in s. 1.01(3).
Notice that this is for "personal" identification number fraud?
Now I'm really confused
Why don't they just flat out define person like that in the vehicle code?
