I might be wrong for this, but I don't worry one bit about the "bird flu" itself.

1. Most diseases come out of the Far East due to poor healthcare and poor sanitation over there.

2. The "pandemic" is still restricted to birds and is highly unlikely to go over to humans (only humans to have it handled infected birds extensively).

3. The whole issue has been drummed into a global hysteria that I believe will be used to take away rights, arrest people (for the public good) and so forth. Fear will make more people ill from the "pandemic" than the actual disease will.
