A birth certificate is simply a certificate of title. The State gains authority over the fruits of marriage via the state marriage license. In the event of a dissolution of the marriage contract with the state, the contract terms of the divorce secure the state's interest in the children (fruits of the marriage) until they attain a majority of age. I suggest anyone that has undergone a divorce to review the divorce decree and reference each and every word of it using a law dictionary.
