You're exactly right Randy.& In Indiana the code states that if any "income" is exempt from tax by the Constitution for the United States or Federal Statute then it is to be deducted from the "gross income".


What is really amazing about that statement is that it is an admission that the State cannot tax the citizen.


I am confident that most States have a similar code.&Seek and ye shall find.& Maybe start with "exemptions".
