Re:Newbie Day in Court

Won't let you sign that way in NY.

Tried it last time I was up for renewal and they kicked it right back at me and said that the only way I could sign is 'just' my name.

So, I said 'okay' and then added it to the license after I received it from the DMV.

Don't know if it would hold up as the 'official' digital signature on file at the DMV does not have the UCC 1-207, without prejudice notation.

Just as a thought for anyone out there - Is there any precedent that anyone knows that could be cited to force them to accept the notation along with the signature?

As always, thanx for the research info!
