Unhappy Abuse

I was abused by my parents and the mental abuse REALLY takes a toll. There were many times I thought of causing SERIOUS harm to them... we had no guns in the house. I'm not going to discuss the physical abuse I suffered for 8 years.

When your parents are telling you on a daily basis that your stupid, you'll never amount to anything, you can't do anything right, etc. you start to question your every move. It was demanded of me that if I was asked a question I damn well better have the right answer. So people began to think of me as a "know-it-all" because I would always go get the right answers.

For this childm I believe he was in a tourture prision. At school he learned that families don't usually treat their kids the way he was being treated.

What does an animal do when it is trapped or corned in fear of his life?

There is an old golfer joke that goes:

The pro of the golf course is talked into playing a round with the WORST player at the club.

The pro askes the othe guy what kind of handicap he wants.

The bad golfer says all I want is two gotchas, and so the pro agrees not knowing what a gotcha is.

So they play the first hole and the pro get a birdie, the bad golfer gets a 8 over par. The next hole is about the same.

On the 3rd hole just as the pro is teeing off and is following thru with his swing the bad player screams GOTCHA. The pro hits the ball and it goes about 20 yards, and the bad player wins the hole. They keep playing and the pro just cannot make a shot. He is in the ruff the sand and hitting water hazards.

The end is the bad player won the round. When the pro got to the club house all his pals wanted to know how the bad golfer beat him.

The pro replied you try focusing on your game knowing at any moment he's going to scream Gotcha.

Kind of dumb analogy but when you are being threated everyday and consantly told you're an idiot, well you mind just does things.
