Yes, Yes, I know... it is best to not use aid. But we are in a dire circumstance and the Church is not taking up its mantle. So what do you do?



Anyway, we're considering Food Stamps and Section 8 for short-term til we can become self-sufficient once more. Here's the catch:



2 Children do not have SS#s - therefore they are not US Citizens just Nationals. They require this on the application and they want to know how many ppl are living in the household. Would we be opening a huge can of worms by applying? Raising unnecessary red flags (I've heard the horror stories of Social Services investigating illegally and taking children)?? Do we put those children on there so they can see we have X number of children? We are Citizens, so we qualify (unfortunately )
