so, the next question would obviously be, If the private seller at gun show did not "register it" , and you do not register it, it is a completely "state free" gun. But the question is, where de he get the gun from..?
How did he purchase the gun from the manufacturer without having to register it... Is there a way to get "direct to the source" manufactured guns before the state touches it.. ???

Not wanting to sound as though I do not want asnwer, but you would need to check all laws concerning the purchasing of guns so that you will know for yourself. With that said, if the dealer does not place paperwork in front of you, and he/she makes it known at the same time that he/she has not registered them, and you purchase and do not register it then, to me, the state does not know that you have purchased it.

I suspect the state can get/have records of the guns manufactured, but I also suspect that the state does not have records of purchases beyond that else they would not require the registration.
