I've been attempting to find out if my Florida State's statute of limitation (4 years) on unsecured debt runs out on a case which is still in progress, open, and undecided. If the case is still open and unresolved at the end of the 4 years, can it be dismissed due to the running of the statute of limitations, or does it stay open because it was filed before the SoL ran out?

Have I somehow overlooked or misunderstood the pertinent info when I've pored through the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure?
