You may be right; yet, I believe that:

any Entity, which has:

1) tasted the power

2) and is comprised not only of the individuals who base their decisions on:

a) morals

b) and values,

would not relinquish power on their own:

I) financial

II) and political.


I, also, notice, that regardless of how much of the above, they gain, it is, still, never enough, as only morals and values provide

the internal, self-governed checks and balances,

while the external ones
are only a token since control over the financial and political structures means:

1) self-preservation at all costs;

2) expansion,

3) tailoring the society for its needs in order to achieve 1) and 2).

Just observations of "what" and "why?"
