To tell you, I didn't read much of it. I googled the uniform commercial code and Canada and came up with that. From what I did read, and the reason for posting it, was that to a degree Canada does use part of the UCC the States use. The site said it was section 9 I think. More on where I think Canada apllies it is in the Commercial Law Strategy section. If I'm not mistaken, Powder mentioned that sometime back

I'm not so sure I would go so far as saying the federal government doesn't have any say because the states are linked to the fed, but the majority of it is exacted at the state level.
