NASA Tech Briefs, December 1998. A interview with Daniel Goldin.
NASA Tech Briefs: What do you view as NASA'S greatest challenge today, and what do you see that becoming in the next 40 years?
Administrator Goldin: To leave low Earth orbit behind to the commercial sector and have sustained presence beyond Earth's orbit, with both robots and people. And to utilize and develop cutting edge information, electronics, and materials technology that will allow this to happen. Biological and bioimedical technologies, also.
In Ralph Rene's book NASA mooned America. The color picture dated 4/22/72 AS16-107-17446 shows a C on a stage rock shadows going in diff directions and the moon buggy antenna imposed over the cross-hair of the picture. Also ruff ground which blends into the smooth background drop.
