Payment in Sand Dollars?

Hello!

After studying what people have to say on this site and many others, I have come to the following conclusion:

We should be able to payoff mortgage notes simply by sending a box of Sand Dollars.

I know many mortgage notes simply ask for payment in a certain number, or 'funds', and some say 'lawful money'. If there is no such thing as 'lawful money', wouldn't ANYTHING be considered money? Are there ever circumstances where a note would specifically ask for FRN?

I can imagine the banks surprise opening the box and seeing a pile of shells, and when they phone... "OH SO MY MONEY'S NO GOOD HERE?"
