Interestingly the racial and prejudicial dibursment of roles until Deep Space 9. Maybe its all just a ..coincidence and nothing deliberate at all?

Levar Burton as Jordi - Blind space Mechanic. Racist undertone: Ironically, the face behind Reading Rainbow plays a role of a character who cant read "without government assistance" (i.e. the visors).
 
Michael Dorn as Lt. Cmd. Worf - Space security guard. Racist undertone: "Temperamental brown-skin folk make good security guards."
