When I get lost in the reality of the fiction, I seek refuge in reality.

In reality, is the exchange of "paper and ink" for a "burger", at a place setup and willing to make such exchanges, anything other then "barter" between People willing to make such an exchange?

I hear what your saying.... i think the premise of the discussion is the true value in the barter. The reality, relative to this discussion and married to the brick and morter world would be that you are getting the better end of the stick... when MacDonalds actually takes the FRN and gives you a Big Mac. You get the hamburger and they allow you to pass debt to them.

The fact is that at some point in time, this will cease and as commercial entities will realize the true value of those greenbacks by not excepting them... What will they except? Gold and Silver isnt feasible.... Euro's would be.
