Anything that sends a signal is fair game. Cordless phone's are great for this- I bought a police scanner, got on the net, and started entering the phone codes into my scanner. It worked like a charm! You can hear the phone ring even! Just like being there.

I know it can be done on cell phones, and there are codes you can enter into certain scanners that will cause the persons phone call to end lol.

When I listen to the police scanner, and they radio a cop, the cop always says the will "use a land line", meaning a reg. phone, as he knows anyone can pick those radio waves up. Becarefull!
