Seems like that guy was onto something! I wonder what border patrol will say when I do not answer "US or United States" when asked about my "citizenship" but rather, say "I am (we are), from StateName or Texans" or something like that.
Coming back from a visit to Canada, they always search my trunk unless I do not have anything in the trunk. They never search the passenger area, just the trunk. Now, for the past 5 or so years they have had big structures that one must move the car through before speaking to the agent. I wondered how they "knew" that my trunk was empty and not to tell me to open it. I became aware recently that the border crossings XRAY THE CAR ON THE WAY THROUGH! Doctors limit the amount of Xrays they take of people but the borders irradiate people without consent or notice. Can I refuse the open my trunk because they never have probable cause? In the past, they would just move our luggage around a bit but not open our bags to see what was inside. Once the man peeled back the trunk lining on both sides and I noticed they were out of place. I think this is just the beginning of acclimating people for the takeover.

I will never ever proclaim myself as a 'US citizen'.
