Ron Paul for Pres 08
I don't know if this has been posted yet, but in the event it has not;

Texas Congressman Seeks Presidency
By JOE STINEBAKER
The Associated Press
Thursday, January 11, 2007; 6:28 PM
HOUSTON -- Rep. Ron Paul, the iconoclastic, nine-term lawmaker from southeast Texas, took the first step Thursday toward a second, quixotic presidential bid _ this time as a Republican.
Paul filed papers in Texas to create a presidential exploratory committee that will allow him to raise money. In 1988, Paul was the Libertarian nominee for president and received more than 400,000 votes.
Kent Snyder, the chairman of Paul's exploratory committee and a former staffer on Paul's Libertarian campaign, said the congressman knows he's a long shot.
"There's no question that it's an uphill battle, and that Dr. Paul is an underdog," Snyder said. "But we think it's well worth doing and we'll let the voters decide."
Paul limits his view of the role of the federal government to those duties laid out in the Constitution. As a result, he sometimes casts votes at odds with his constituents and other Republicans.
He was one of a handful of Republicans to vote in 2002 against giving President Bush the authority to use military force in Iraq, contending that only Congress had the power to declare war. At times, he has voted against funds for the military.
Paul bills himself as "The Taxpayers' Best Friend," and is routinely ranked either first or second in the House by the National Taxpayers Union, a national group advocating low taxes and limited government.

I have researched Paul's stance on the key issues and I believe he is our best bet for President. He stands for the Consitution and Bill of Rights, has kicked lobbyists out of his office (that's right, they can't buy him), has refused the lavish retirement pension Congressmen give themselves, has always voted against giving himself a payraise, is a WW II veteran, etc etc.
He has spoken out against the New World Order, Globalists, the UN, and much more. I encourage everyone here to research him too.

Have a look at Michael Badnarik.
I would consider Badnarik like Paul, But on a much higher scale.

Yes, I like Badnarik also. If he runs then I would have to choose between the two. I know we are against the two-party system, however maybe we need to put a candidate under one of the two parties to "sneak them" past the handlers. This way they will have a better chance to get voted. Plus Paul already has an impressive curriculum vitae including his service to the country and his congressional service.
I admire Badnarik for his educational efforts in promoting the Constitution and making more people to study it. He has one class on Google Video for free; it is about seven hours long (split in 7 chunks) but it is so informative and interesting the time just flies by.

Ah yes I agree with you.
I have been waiting with much anticipation for the advanced class that Michael has said that he would be offering.

Would love for him to go on a tour around the country. I would bring dozens to a class in my region!

I have that seven hour course, and would like more!
Yes the time does fly when you watch it.
Interesting both Ron Paul and Michael Badnarik are of Texas.
Carl Miller also is amazing on the constitution.
I have a one hour audio, and he has a six hour set available from one of the web radio stations (I forget which) for FRN 45, that I am going to be getting soon.

I've met, and spoken with Ron Paul on a couple of occasions, and I know Michael personally.
I like Michael an awful lot. He is a very good man, and I do believe his heart is in the right place. However, I don’t think he has the where with all for the presidency. Paul has tenure on the hill, and knows the ropes and to what extent he can use them.
Both are fine men, and both have equivalent ethics, values, and are both Constitutionalists, but spend an afternoon or two with Ron Paul, and sit across the dining table from Michael and you too will have a better understanding of which I speak.
I have voted one time in my life and I had to write in Ross Perot. If I ever to vote again it will be for Dr. Ron Paul.
You might ask, what’s keeping you from voting?

It makes no difference. http://www.blackboxvoting.org/
Neither Ron Paul, nor Michael Badnarik have royal blood.
Hence neither will ever be president.

I can't believe what I'm reading here. Have we all be lulled back to sleep again?? Am I to conclude that some of you actually believe that the people elect the president in this country? Have we forgotten about the last elections voter fraud already? Come on people. Do you also believe that your congressman actually represents you? Has suijuris been taken over by aliens?? I'll stop here.
