By the way Mark:
You might want to get your 'signature' quotation correct especially after quoting ""Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you" (Deuteronomy 4:2)"", your signature falls within the parameters established in the above quote.. ie... you have added to and have taken away from the actual scripture.
"Psalms 111
1. Praise ye the Lord. I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.
2. The works of the Lord are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.
3. His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
4. He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the Lord is gracious and full of compassion.
5. He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.
6. He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.
7. The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.
8. They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.
9. He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.
10. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever."
Your quote, allegedly from verse 10 reads much differently. ""The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the council of saints is understanding: for to know the law is the character of a sound mind.""

If you care to do some reading, you just may find your faith in the the book you are quoting from, shaken. Besides, I'm not quoting from Psalms here. It's Proverbs 9:10. And yes, your version will read differently. Why? Because it has been compromised.
Read, and learn the truth of the matter:
The Septuagint (LXX)
In Defense Of The Septuagint
God's Blessing On The Septuagint
Comparisons Between The Bible [KJV] And The Septuagint (This article shows that Christ and his apostles were, more than likely, quoting from the Greek Septuagint.)
Proverbs Comparisons - The Bible [KJV] And The Septuagint
Now, for your pooh poohing of the doctrine of a sound mind, that was posted on another thread which was deleted. And deleted for good cause, I might add:
2 Timothy 1:7, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." KJV
Now, what could he have meant by a sound mind? Well, if you would like to now that it isn't just a piece of paper from a shrink; just see: Proverbs 9:10(LXX). Wow!
Need I say more?
Also Jerry, you can relax, I wasn't referring to you, as in Jerry, but to you as in who ever would care to read my post on the thread that was deleted.
On another note. I'm glad to here that your children love the lord--thats great! But what if you are mistaken, in your believe, that they have been satisfactorily baptized according to faith? Which true baptism requires on the part of the one being baptized. Which I believe, and there is amble scriptural evidence for. Just one example: Tell me, is there a shred of evidence to indicate that John the baptist, Christ, his apostles or anybody else at that time, was baptizing or even suggesting that you baptize an infant? No! Why? Because it's according to faith, and not the flesh as in circumcision. Please, DO consider this Jerry.
Peace

Actually Mark, what I am currently more concerned about, is the fact that there is approximately 4 postings missing from this thread. I know they were published, as my wife and son sat here and read them and we held discussion in the home in regard to them. Now they are gone. These postings were responses given by myself and you in regard to comments of the other. And on that note, I will only conclude that the admin or moderators were uncomfortable with the content of those postings, and subsequently I have to refrain from repeating the messages that I had previously written to you in this regard.
Have a nice evening.

Jerry, the whole thread was deleted. along with Sheisaceo being banned. Had nothing to do with what you or I were talking about (I think... no, I'm sure).
Sheisaceo was banned for violating forum policies. I'm sure she meant well, but what she was posting, did not reflect well on herself
or this forum. Maybe she was just given a time out, who knows.
Peace
P.S. Are you sure it was this thread that is missing posts of yours, or was it the thread Sheisaceo started concerning the black-opts alert? That was funny, NOT!

Seems you are correct on the deletion of a whole thread. I remember there was a cross-thread subject discussion going on, and perhaps it was in that thread where you also brought up the subject matter of the Septuagint. In response to you having brought up that subject, I gave (IMHO) adequate declaration of my views on the subject matter of the Septuagint, now that publication is gone (Thank you admins and/or moderator(s) said in a cynical manner). Hopefully you read that posting of mine prior to it having been deleted.
