Best way of cashing checks under $2,000?

i dont know if $2000 qualifies as a 'large' check or small one. any suggestions for cashing checks of this size on a regular basis?

how do these "check cashing" businesses operate?

Check-cashing places are a ripoff. They will charge up upwards of 10% of the amount of the check and there will still be your endorsement on it so it does nothing to conceal a paper trail.

They are not concerned about your privacy. They prey on people who don't have bank accounts.
