Summons, Presentments, Defaults

Can Default Judgements be published from 3rd party debt collectors just on a regular presentment sent in the mail, or does this have no legal standing?

As i thought all default judgements had to be issued with a summons??? Those "phising letters" presentments are not summons, so what proof do they have that you got there presentment "fishing letter" since it was not registed? they cant proceed with a judgement, if you dont respond to those silly things, they cant request judgement as 3rd party debt collector just on those letters alone? A formal complaint/summons has to be attached, yes?

It sure would seem like it. These debt collector attorneys will stop at nothing in attempting to steal money they really have no right to.
