Mann Bracken Documents

Helping out a friend with a collection account. Mann Bracken provided a copy of a sworn "statement of account" signed by a chase "Authorized Representative" and underneath it says "Assistant Treasurer" The whole thing looks like it was pieced together because the fonts are different and the name is even crooked.
Is there any way to verify if something was actually signed before a notary?

Well, you could check with the notary.

You haven't posted much info... and it is vital for reasonable answers to your post.

Q: Why did they provide this copy? Did you request verification or was it attached to a Complaint/Summons?

One important thing to remember, any signed documents entered into a cause of action will give you the right to cross examine the signer of the document. Keep that in mind and maybe remind your opponent of that by stating that you will reserve your right to cross examine any witness and any evidence they produce.

He requested Validation and they sent that statement which I can tell is phoney(computer generated Mann Bracken Letter head with a Chase Representative signature on it) but it was not a cause of action in Court it was prior to Arbitration Kangaroo Court. He sent a refusal to arbitrate and a denial of any conracted arbitration agreement. They went to arbitration and ignored his claims.

Did he notify the Arbitration company that he was refusing the offer of arbitration? It's important to notify all parties.

The next step would be to notify the DC that you believe the document sent does not qualify as verification of the debt, that any such witness or evidence will be subject to cross examination in any cause of action (if it looks phoney, you might want to allude to fraud statutes) and the number of days they have left to respond before default.

Keep in mind that requesting verification of the debt also relates to proper standing. This has been discussed in other threads in the forum.

It would help to see the body of text of the request for validation that was sent.

He did expressly refuse Arbitration and notified the Arb Forum as well as Mann Bracken. He also just resent the Debt Validation Letter requesting not only Validation but also requesting the alleged Arbitration Agreement that he allegedly signed into.
ill have to post the exact documents so all can comment I appreciate your time.
In the actual Award it stated "Both Parties agreed to Arbitrate." It was almost as if they didnt even receive his letter. But we know they did.
