Meaning what, precisely?

And yes, it may be apparent that you are quite correct in that you do so appear to think not.

YOU BORROWED THE MONEY! It is nobodies fault but YOURS! If they made a mistake, what actions did you take to correct it? Probably like most who sit around pissing and moaning about it, not a damn thing! Always the "evil governments" fault. Thats a bunch of Crap! I borrowed and I paid, as do most in good standing.

Ok, so now i get it ndusa, you are the turncoat of the forum, surely not everyone here thinks as you do... no way, at least they did not at one time.

BORROWED WHAT MONEY? would you care to explain your statement? I didn't borrow any money from anyone, and simply by you making that statement tells me you don't know what the hell you are talking about... perhaps you can enlighten me and maybe others reading this thread how I in fact borrowed as you call it... money.

If they made a mistake, why didn't I correct it? LOL, maybe you should go ask all the people bitching and moaning about mistakes on artofcredit why they didn't speak up. there are tons of missed mistakes.

Also, maybe you should re read my last post, you obviously didn't get it... well if you did you wouldn't sound so... how shall I put it... hmm... DUMB?

Amazing how one can make such a big deal about a simple question about a promissory note...

The sad fact is they will never let up and will shift from one scumbag debt collector to another since it is an unforgivable "debt". Unless you can show you are absolutely destitute? This game really stems from a shift in college tution going from a grant based system to a, Reagen inspired, debt based system. Thanks Ron!

I don't recall saying people and government don't make mistakes. I don't recall saying the government wasn't corrupt. We all know it is, but I'm way past that.

You state that this is 17 years old. Seems like you're hinting that you knew about it for some time now. If you borrowed, you will pay.

Now, if by some small chance, the people at the student loan department, randomly generated your name, conspired against you, and are trying to milk you for some cash, I could see where that would upset a person. BUT, You never said that! Lets say this is what happened, then why don't you run to your local Federal Pros. and file a criminal charge??? Why don't you file an action in court? Seems pretty darn suspect that if it was one big conspiracy, that you couldn't call your local pros. and get something done right away.

As far as "turncoat" and "dumb", you are going to have to do better than that. I can assure you I've been called much worse by much better.

so ndusa when exactly are you going to explain what money i borrowed and where it came from... i'm still waiting.

again my questions was only about the note, not about the reason weather it (the loan) has been paid or not, again, you have no clue why, and it's none of your damn business anyway, but i can say if you knew why you may think differently... so enough with your judgement already... can ya stick to the question about the note?

Alright, I'll play this little game. Here's what I would do (not to be mistaken with what YOU should do):

Apperently you have something that they claim you signed. You are saying you didn't.

1-I would draw up a legal and constructive notice for the individual who signed the letter you got(from the lending people) stating that you never borrowed. In that I would explain extortion, and tell that person if this is not resolved immed., that you WILL file criminal charges.

2-I would send a legal and constructive notice to the company itself, again explaining you NEVER signed, or even borrowed any such money. (Clearly, there should be a school involved, get docs from them!) and I would explain that if this matter is not resolved within one week of reciept, that you WILL file an action in federal court.

Of course, if they prove you wrong, you will be in a world of ****! If you are telling the trueth, and it can't be proved, things should shape up in a real hurry.

Again, this is only what I would do. You do what ever you do at your own risk. Hope this helps some.

Is not going to work, you are dealing with "BB" here, not just mundane person. You need a lot more ammo than that to put them in place.
